Pins are placed in the 5th and 8th holes of the crossmember (not including upright). Apply the bands by grabbing the ends of the band, looping the middle of the band under both pins, then place both ends of the band over the barbell sleeve (put a foot on the band between the pins to avoid it slipping off and you getting snapped in the unmentionables).

The hole position for the pins may vary depending on where the athlete likes to set up on the bench. What’s important is: when the athlete is in the start position the bands form an isosceles triangle (long sets are equal length and angle to the base).
